Hey, I’m Brittany Nycole, the face (and hands!) behind Smooth Aesthetics 🤍 I’m a licensed aesthetician with almost 10 years of experience, and I’m the one-woman show behind this little studio in downtown La Crosse. From answering your messages to doing your treatments, it’s all me and I truly love getting to know the people who come through my door. I created Smooth Aesthetics to be a body-positive, inclusive space where you can feel comfortable being exactly who you are. You never have to apologize for your body, your hair, or your skin here. Everyone deserves a little self-care, a little confidence boost, and a space where they feel welcome and taken care of. Brazilian and full-body waxing are a big part of what I do, but there’s so much more to Smooth Aesthetics. My custom facials are all about your skin, your goals, and what your skin needs that day. Whether you’re dealing with congestion, dryness, uneven tone, changes as your skin ages, or you just want an hour to relax, we’ll create a treatment that makes sense for you. Depending on what your skin needs, your facial may include exfoliation, extractions, targeted masks, facial massage, or microcurrent to help you look and feel refreshed. I also love helping you better understand your skin and find an at-home routine that actually feels doable. Skincare doesn’t have to be complicated or overwhelming. I also offer brow shaping, tinting, and lash lifts for those little finishing touches that make getting ready a little easier. Whether you’re here for your monthly wax, working toward a skincare goal, or simply taking some time for yourself, I’m here to make your visit personal, comfortable, and something you look forward to. Because at Smooth Aesthetics, it’s about great skin and feeling good in it. 💕 Let’s get you ready for your wax! First things first… ditch your razor 🪒 You won’t be needing that between appointments! 😉 ▫️Let your hair grow to at least a quarter of an inch or about the length of a grain of rice. For most people, that means roughly 2–3 weeks without shaving. ▫️Gently exfoliate a day or two before your appointment. Skip harsh scrubs or anything that leaves your skin irritated. ▫️Come with clean skin and avoid heavy lotions or oils on the area being waxed. ▫️Wear loose, comfortable clothing to help minimize rubbing afterward. ▫️Waxing around your period may feel a little more sensitive, but you can still come in! For a Brazilian, wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. ▫️Let me know about any skin sensitivities, medications, or skincare products you’re using that could affect your wax, especially retinoids or exfoliating acids on the treatment area. First wax? Feeling a little nervous? That’s completely normal. Ask questions, tell me what you’re worried about, and we’ll work through it together. 🤍 Just as important as the prep… your aftercare! ▫️For the first 24–48 hours, avoid hot tubs, swimming, saunas, hot baths, tanning, and workouts that leave you hot and sweaty. ▫️Keep the area clean, wear loose clothing, and avoid rubbing or friction while your skin settles. ▫️Stick with gentle aftercare products recommended for your skin. Skip fragranced products and harsh exfoliants right after your appointment. ▫️Wait at least 48 hours and until any redness or sensitivity has settled before exfoliating. Then gently exfoliate 2–3 times a week, as your skin tolerates, to help reduce buildup and ingrown hairs. ▫️Keep up with your appointments! Most clients do well with a wax every 4–6 weeks, depending on the area and their hair growth.
